This shows the new 3dconnexion spacenavigator being used with Google Earth. This is the new smoothest way to interact with 3D worlds. See review at Gearthblog.com here: tinyurl.com

I like how smooth it is.
Is the Space Navigator compatible with FSX? (this would look great from within the cockpit of a jet)

i got mine two days ago.. cant be without it when working in inventor..

It’s Cleveland from Family Guy!

It is not live. Some of the images are several years old.

does the spacenavigator work as a mouse too?
[Translate]
how do the buildings pop up like that is it a newer version of google earth? if so which one?
[Translate]
I’ve been lobbying for that (Firefox) feature as well. And yes, the Spacenavigator is excellent for moving around in 3D applications (such as Solidworks.)
[Translate]
It would take waaaaaaaay too much bandwidth. Not feasible
[Translate]
is free google earth live? im guessing not, probably just still pictures right? would be nice if it was live though as im heading into the navy soon and will be doing much traveling as a result, if it were live, woulda made it so kewl to keep tabs on home, lol. so please tell me if its live or not or if live is only paid version as im seriously thinking about downloding this.

time to upgrade your 56k dial-up connection
[Translate]
I’m becoming dizzy
[Translate]
How does it load so fast? When ever I open Shitty Earth – sorry, I mean Google Earth – zooming in takes minutes because the textures take forever to load
[Translate]
Its got a perdy blue light…I WANT ONE!

The Space Navigator and the content shown all work as shown with the free version of Google Earth. I used GE Pro to make the video because it has a movie making module.
[Translate]
What version of GE is this? I’m guessing its not the free version.
[Translate]
It works in a number of 3D applications like SketchUp, Maya, AutoCAD and dozens of others. There is also a tool for viewing photos with it, and there is a driver for using it with Photoshop. There is an SDK out now for developers to quickly develop interfaces with other visual applications. I’m hoping someone will implement scroll-wheel like scrolling for Firefox.
[Translate]
I dont realy see the point of paying 50 – 100 $ or whatever it goes for just to look at GE, does it have any other uses? And if so what?
[Translate]
Yes, the video was recorded in real-time with a normal video camera. The device makes flying around in GE feel like you are your own cinematographic cameraman!
[Translate]
Does one need this hardware device to make Google earth perform like this?
Is this real time?
[Translate]
This is WILD… I want to do something like this with my music videos
[Translate]
¿Creeis que en unas decadas dispondremos de imagenes en tiempo real desde satelites artificiales? ¿Se podra integrar el sistema con webcams sobre la superficie terrestre para complementar las vistas?
[Translate]
so google earth works like this!?! guess my internet connection sucks shit! thanks telekom!
[Translate]
The SpaceNavigator does work with 3ds Max, Maya, and over 100 3D applications.
